  • When should I hire an Interior Designer?

The sooner you begin working with an Interior Designer, the more efficiently they can help you avoid design mistakes and make sure all furnishings are of the right size & scale to enhance your space. At the beginning of your project we detail and specify important details such as the placement of electrical, plumbing, HVAC components etc. based on your lifestyle and needs. You can remain worry free as we handle all of these details.

  • What is your style?

The most important element is blending the goals and preferences of our clients with our 20+ years of design experience to create comfortable, contemporary and timeless interiors that reflects and elevates your lifestyle.

  • Why do I need an interior designer if I have an architect?

As interior designers, we consider the inside of the space and then work outward. Architects begin on the outside or framing concept and work inward. We then all collaborate to consider your goals and lifestyle to make sure that the placement and design of all elements creates function and beauty for the space in which you live.

  • Do you work with other vendors and can I use my own contractor?

We hire and work with all necessary professionals including contractors, artisans, soft furnishings workrooms, installation specialists etc. to complete the job. You can work with our contractor or bring in your own preferred contracting individual or team.

  • How do we get started?

At Hudson Blau Designs, all collaborations start with a free 30-minute discovery call. If we mutually decide to proceed on achieving your designs goals, the next step is a paid, up to 2.5 hour onsite consultation. Afterwards, you will be given a detailed action plan including a basic design concept and ideas, product sourcing information and valuable insight on how to move forward. You can then move forward solo and inspired or, retain us for further design services.

Please note that to afford you the one-on-one attention that you deserve and that elevates the design process, we are personally involved from the discovery call to the last installation.
